"Die
Akker" Guesthouse is situated in the beautiful
Orange Valley en-rout to Namakwaland, Richtersveld,
Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, 50km from Augrabies
Water Falls.
Die Akker Stead is situated between Keimoes and Kakamas
on the N14 road. The farmstead is a very old house
on the farm Akker which were previously inhabited
by the De Wet Family.
The
Farmstead was opened on 18 August 2005. It sells original
farm items like farm butter, mutton and chicken pie,
pickled garlic, “uitgebraaide skaapvet”
and “Boer seep”. All dried fruit like
mangos, peaches, plums, pears, apple rings, and cranberry
are fresh and from a very hiDie Akker guesthouse quality.
A variety of nuts, delicious dates, all sorts of jams
even turks, mango and guava.
Our
“groenvye tert” served with filtered coffee
is our delicacy and the guests favorite.
The
raisins on the farm shed are dried by the farm owner
himself and is of hiDie Akker guesthouse quality.
We
have delicious home made cookies, biscuit, fudge,
nougat and “skuinskoek”. Wonderful gifts
and cards are also available at Akker Farm Stead.

a must stop for every locals and tourist.
