Khamkirri also offers selected water activities (fishing and rafting on booking only.) Once you have reached the Riemvasmaak hot-springs office book in and follow the breathtaking winding road all the way down to the springs. You can stay in their chalets or at their campsites, do a hike or just relax in your choice of 3 pools with different temperatures. We do however recommend visiting Riemvasmaak in the mornings during November to March as the temperatures can reach sky high during our summer seasons.

From Riemvasmaak you take another gravel-road going to the R359 tar-road that will take you to the Augrabies Falls. Riemvasmaak to Augrabies is 49km but it will take you an hour to drive. Use it to soak up the rugged beauty of our unique area.

From the Falls you can make your way back on the R359 to Kakamas but with a view stops along the way.

Lake Grappa offer mouthwatering meals at their lapa next to a dam overlooking the vineyards. They offer chalets en the nicest camping facilities if you would like to stay a little longer.

On entering Kakamas you will find Rose Cafe / Belvedere Guesthouse that offers fantastic meals and accommodation.

The “Pienk Padstal” is located in Kakamas, bright pink on your left side towards Keimoes. Here you can shop local produce, arts and crafts.
